The Delaware Auto Show is in its 10th year! One of the best-attended events in Delaware, this family friendly lets car enthusiasts check out a wide variety of new, classic and exotic vehicles in a non-selling environment at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. $10 general admission, children 13 years and younger free.

Friday
To celebrate October Car Care Month, AAA is hosting an October Car Care Month Event at the AAA Car Care Insurance and Travel Store in Dover. There will be free maintenance checks (by appointment only), special promotions, giveaways, refreshments and more.
$2 No School Day at Milburn Orchards on Friday, as well as on Monday 10/10 and Wednesday 10/12. Admission is only $2 per person ages 3-59 (all other ages free) to play all day in the BIG BackYard, which includes the Bale Trail, Corn Maze, BarnYard Buddies, GroundHog Hill, Tractor Tire Tower, Giant Spider Web, Giant Sand Dig, and lots more. Hayrides are also offered from 11am-2pm for $3 per person, 2 and under are free. Weather permitting.
First Fridays are Art Loop days! Try out the Historic New Castle Art Loop or the Wilmington Art Loop. Or, check out the Inspire Lot Series: live music by Gable Music Ventures, assorted food trucks and hands-on art activities.
It’s too late to sign up for this week’s Parents’ Night Out at the Natural History Museum, but I’m listing it as a reminder to sign up for a future night out! The next one is October 28th, with a “Merry Night Scary” theme. For ages 5-10, these events each have experiments, movies, games, arts and crafts, and other activities, plus pizza dinner for campers.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced salsero, you can check out Grand Baile! Latin Dance Night at the Grand. It’s only $5 at the door for dance instruction and social dancing.

For is offering Free Driver Training for teens at the Dover Speedway, with AM and PM Sessions Saturday and Sunday. This allows teen drivers to practice skills in a safe, controlled environment with professional instructors (who are also racecar drivers) sitting right next to them.

Gardening for Wildlife and Certified Wildlife Habitat: How do you do it and how do you get your garden certified? Lori Athey, Habitat Outreach Coordinator from the Delaware Nature Society tells you all about it at this free event at Wild Birds Unlimited in Hockessin.
The Franklin Institute’s next big exhibition “Robot Revolution” opens this weekend! Explore a cutting-edge collection of robots from all over the world— each visitor on opening day will receive a special robot prize while supplies last. The exhibit will be open through April 2, 2016.
Help keep Delaware clean by participating in Volunteer Trail Day at Cape Henlopen or Newark Community Cleanup Day, or clean your own house with the DOJ Fall Shred Event: free shredding of up to three file-sized boxes of documents, which may contain paper file folders, staples, and paperclips. Staff will be on-hand to provide information and answer questions about consumer frauds and scams.
Second Saturday at Mt. Cuba: look up and discover the painted canopy of autumn leaves. Enjoy a fun activity with leaf art and learn the basics of tree pruning.
Lowes Build and Grow: Register for this Pumpkin Carving clinic and get a free apron, goggles, and patch.
New Castle County Police Mounted Unit 35th Anniversary Celebration: kids face painting and crafts, demos by NCCPD units, demonstrations by our Mounted Patrol and a demo by the K9 Unit and Clydesdale Rides at Carousel Park. Free, optional $10 donation per car.
Wells Fargo Center’s 20th Birthday Party: Comcast Spectacor is inviting the public to a FREE, open-house birthday party at the Wells Fargo Center to celebrate the arena’s 20th anniversary. Games, attractions, celebrity appearances, and party favors; take a shot on the Philadelphia Flyers goal or Philadelphia 76ers basket in a unique, first-time-ever half-ice, half-court arena floor configuration; stand in front of commemorative championship banners which will be lowered for photo purposes, or visit the penalty box, and selected locker rooms; ticket giveaways set to happen every 20 minutes.

Old City Fest: along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Live music, fashion shows, family fun zone, pop-up street performances; food, beverages, art, craft and retail shopping, with 100+ Old City vendors participating. Free, with food and drink pay-as-you-go.
Delaware Art Museum Sunday Studios: Halloween Costume Workshop Families are invited to make their own Halloween costumes! Ages 6+ and adults. Free.
Sunday Funday at Price Lanes: $2.50 Games, $2.50 Shoes, and $3 PBRs after 6pm.
Learn to Curl at the Pond: either for a one time shot, or to get ready for the Fall League.
