This awesome Sesame Place discount is in celebration of Pennsylvania Amusement Park Day, which I didn’t know was a thing, so I looked it up. Apparently on Wednesday, the PA House of Representatives approved Representative Payne’s proposed House Resolution 877, which designated June 10th as Pennsylvania Amusement Park Day to recognize the economic impact of the state’s amusement and water parks.
“While we often recognize the impact tourism as a whole has on our economy, I thought it was important to celebrate our amusement and water parks specifically for the huge role they play in bringing local families and travelers to the Keystone State. This industry is a huge revenue generator and job creator for Pennsylvania, and it draws visitors to other local businesses like restaurants, gas stations and hotels which helps the local economy.”

I have a deep, profound love of Sesame Place. The ads will tell you to #GoBeforeTheyGrow, and granted some things will be most enjoyed by the preschool-and-under set, but I’ve visited with kids of all ages and everyone enjoys themselves. Sesame Place really brings out the kid in all of us.
