Recycle your CDs by sending to the Philadelphia Zoo to help prevent bird deaths by window strikes.

Saw this on the Philly Zoo’s Facebook page and thought we’d help spread the word:

The Philadelphia Zoo is looking for your old CDs!

Anywhere from 100 million to 1 billion birds are killed by window strikes each year in the US. Zoo guests help create over 10,000 window glass reflectors from scratched and unwanted CDs that can be hung on any window to help birds. Send your scratched or unwanted CDs to:

Philadelphia Zoo C/O The Education Department
3400 West Girard Ave
Philadelphia PA 19104

Keep a couple CDs in reserve to hang in your own windows 🙂

Be sure to like the Philadelphia Zoo on FB if you haven’t already! They post events and adorb photos of their animals.
