Where and When Kids Eat Free in Delaware Restaurants

Every dollar counts, right? Especially when you have more than one child. Keep a couple extra dollars in your wallet when you’re on the go: here’s where and when kids eat free in Delaware restaurants (or close by).

I’ve been sitting on this post for a while, trying to make it a really comprehensive list. What I’ve learned is this: not nearly so many restaurants offer kids eat free deals as they used to, and many only offer them for a limited time. Also, when you’re dealing with a franchise chain, not every location in that chain opts into nationally advertised deals.

In my efforts to confirm who does and who doesn’t, I kept having to delete some options because they would have expired. I’m now accepting that this will have to be a living, breathing document in need of ongoing updating, but I wanted to post what I can now so you can take advantage of these deals while they last.

After all, kids are expensive, and once they become older they seemingly develop hollow legs and toes, capable of storing pounds and pounds of food. That can make eating out seriously pricey, especially if you have multiple eating machines.

Here are Delaware restaurants that we’ve confirmed currently offer kids eat free (or cheap) deals, but again, keep in mind that these can change at any time. Check before you go! And bookmark this page for easy reference.

When and Where Kids Eat Free in Delaware

IHOP

Kids eat free every day from 4-10pm.

Ruby Tuesday

Kids 12 and under eat free Tuesday nights from 5pm to close.

the Greene Turtle

Kids eat free all day Sundays at the Wilmington location. Confirmed in Newark, Dover and Lewes: Kids eat free all day Tuesdays at Christiana and Dover, and Wednesdays in Middletown.

Klondike Kate’s

Kids eat free Wednesdays from 4 to 9pm.

Barnaby’s

Locations in West Chester, Aston and Haverford. Kids eat free all day Wednesdays at the West Chester and Haverford locations, after 3pm at Aston. 1 child per adult entrée.

IKEA

Headed to the Philly IKEA to get some shopping done? On Wednesdays, you can get 2 free kid’s entrées when you buy 1 adult entrée.

Denny’s

Kids eat free Tuesdays 4 to 10pm.

Chili’s

If you sign up for My Chili’s Rewards, you’ll receive personalized rewards, including free kids’ meals.

Kid Shelleen’s

Kid Shelleen’s no longer offers a free option, but 5:30 to 7:30pm kids’ meals are $5 for family night with Jungle John– Mondays at the Trolley Square location, Wednesdays for Branmar Plaza.

Unless otherwise noted, it’s safe to assume that kids eat free deals refer to:

• kids 12 and under
• dining in
• choosing from the kids’ menu
• one free meal for every adult meal purchased
• drinks not included
• not valid with any other coupons or discounts
