What national parks have you had the chance to visit?

Starting September 1st, 2015 and running through the 2015-2016 school year until August 31, 2016, every 4th grade student across the country is invited to take advantage of the Every Kid in a Park pass: granting free access to national parks, national forests, national wildlife refuges, and more.

The Every Kid in a Park Pass is the latest initiative from the National Park Foundation’s Open Outdoors for Kids program, helping children learn history, culture, and science while exploring the great outdoors. Its intent is to engage and create the next generation of park visitors, supporters and advocates. “Humans seldom value what they cannot name”— this is a wonderful opportunity to get kids out there and become intimately aware of nature so they may care enough to preserve it.

Pledge your support of the initiative and you’ll receive the National Park Owner’s Guide, Parks For Play: 35 National Park Adventures for Kids of All Ages, as a free download.
