State Park Camping 50% Off November Weeknights

11/07/2016 by Robin Elton

Fall camping is fun! Pay half price when you reserve a tent, yurt or cabin during the week in November at these Delaware state park campgrounds.

I just realized all my kids—even the one in college—will be home from the afternoon of the 18th until Monday the 28th. What? How did this happen?

If you’ve got some extra weekdays to fill and kids to keep busy this month too, consider camping! The parks won’t be as crowded, the bugs won’t be biting, and the campfires will be twice as inviting. You won’t necessarily be “roughing it” in the cold, either: apparently the yurts and cabins are equipped with beds, and some have lights (!) and electric heating.

And here I thought people who used air mattresses were fancy!

Use promo code NOV5016 to save 50% on camping weeknights at Killens Pond, Lums Pond, Trap Pond and Delaware Seashore State Parks in November (excludes the cottages at Indian River Marina, which look super nice and run $100 a night).

It looks like tent camping costs $20 a night, yurts $40, and cabins $50 before the discount, although that may vary a little by site. The yurts at Lums Pond can sleep up to 8 people!

The code is valid for campsites, cabins and yurts Sunday through Thursday nights through November 30th; cabins and yurts require a 2-night minimum stay.

All discounted reservations are first-come, first served. You can reserve online or by calling (877) 98 PARKS. There are, obviously, only a limited number of sites available, so I’d hop on it if you’d like to go camping this month!
