Run like Rocky Balboa (well, sort of: the actual Rocky run was about 30.6 miles) in the Rocky Run 5k or 10k, November 14th in Philly.
Sadly, the race doesn’t actually end with a run up the museum stairs, but you can do that on your own time afterwards. And speaking of time, there is a course limit— you’ll need to keep up a 15:00/mile pace. This would have caused us to be swept last year, as we had a team member with an injury.
The course is an out-and-back that those who have done other races beginning and ending at the art museum have probably run before. You will hear the Rocky theme song played more times than your brain can process. And the November timeframe combined with the proximity to water makes the odds pretty good that your run will be cold.
You know what makes it worth it? Besides the satisfaction of getting it done and all that 🙂
THIS MEDAL.
I also opted for the tech shirt upgrade and I was glad I did. It’s a nice shirt.
