Harvest Moon Festival

Lots of family fun to be had here!

What:

Harvest Moon Festival- Coverdale Farm’s 10th Birthday Celebration

Where:

Coverdale Farm in Greenville (make sure to print out directions, GPS coverage is sketchy for me)

When:

Saturday & Sunday October 2nd & 3rd 10:00am- 5:00pm

Why:

  • Draft horse drawn carriage rides, pony rides, tractor wagon rides
  • Festival fare by Bill Thompson, Wood Fired Pizza, Woodside Farm ice cream (including a “Happy 10th Birthday, Coverdale Farm” flavor)
  • Art Show
  • Farmers’ Market- produce from the Coverdale Farm CSA, Great Harvest Bread, Honey Bee Farm honey, candles, lip balm and hand cream, Red Bandana Kettle Corn, SIW Vegetables, Pike Creek Coffee Roaster coffees & more
  • Live music
  • Corn maze, straw bale maze, bubbles, pennies in the straw, jump in the corn pool, hoola hoops & jump ropes
  • International Turtle Race
  • Farm Olympics: egg races, tug of war & potato sack races
  • Crafts
  • Natural History exhibits
  • Pumpkin croquet, Pumpkin ring toss, Corn cob toss
  • Build your own scarecrow
  • Apple Cider pressing, learn how to hand milk the dairy cow, hold a newly hatched chick, discover vermicomposting
  • Guided walks
  • Live animal programs – reptiles, amphibians, butterflies, honey bees & more
  • Artisan demonstrations- dyeing wool with native plant materials, spinning and weaving, knitting, carding wool
  • Artisan sales- hand-woven items, turned wood heirlooms, gourd art

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 kids 5 and up (Members)
$8 adults, $4 kids 5 and up (non-members)
Children under 5 admitted FREE!

    25 years family operated experience in fun foods (funnel cakes, french fries, snow cones, carmel corn,ice tea, lemonade) QUALITY…will work under any financial arrangement.We are self contained, make food to order, charge reasonable prices.
