Jacob is teaching himself guitar, and I’ve contracted him to learn a few of my favorite songs. He gets $20 when he can play and sing any of the following:
- David Bowie, “Space Oddity”
- Guns N Roses, “Patience”
- Bob Dylan, “Desolation Row”
- Violent Femmes, “Please Do Not Go”
Basically, those are my favorite songs to sing along to.
I was a little aghast when I realized Jake wasn’t familiar with any David Bowie, clearly I’ve neglected some vital cultural studies with him.
