You may have heard that REI is giving their employees a paid day off on Black Friday so they can instead spend the day outside. DNREC is encouraging you to do the same, waiving their daily entrance fees at all state parks on November 27th.
Gates will open at 8 am and parks close at dusk. Park offices will be closed.
At Lums Pond State Park, the “Go Ape Treetop Adventure” is offering free admission to their zipline courses for kids 15 and under (when accompanied by an adult). You can make your reservations here, but hurry! There are only a few spots left.
