Rehoboth Beach Sandcastle Contest

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce (RBDBCC) is pleased to host the 38th Annual Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Over 100 teams are expected to express their artistic flair. Past creations have included Swamp Animals, Mermaids, Pyramids, Crabs, Dolphins, Sharks and of course traditional sandcastles. Beachgoers who would rather watch than work are welcome to view the incredible creations free of charge.
Held on Rehoboth beach in front of Funland, between Brooklyn Ave. and Hickman St.
Sculptures can be started at any time that day and their entry registered anytime between 8:30am and 2;30pm, BUT must be completed for 3pm judging. Kids under the age of 6 not competing can complete a sand craft activity under the RBDBCC canopy.
