Come out and see the Museum’s new exhibit, Here Be Dragons! On Saturdays at 3:30 p.m., (one hour before the Museum closes for the day) join Herpetologist and Reptile Keeper Matt Halterman for feedings of the largest creatures in Here Be Dragons: the Black Throat Monitor and the Roughneck Monitor. The Black Throat, from Sub-Saharan Africa, is a powerful and aggressive predator. Big Mama (pictured here) is six feet long! The Roughneck Monitor is from Southeast Asia, and grows to 3-4 feet. They are found in rainforests and mangrove swamps.
Free with DMNH Membership or Museum admission.
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
