News, foods, fun finds and reviews
The Night Sky is open once again! Delaware Astronomical Society will reveal the wonders of space, from stars, to constellations, to satellites, and even planets. And, of course, our moon! If you have never done this before, have no fear, for this program is for beginners, so equipment (including some powerful telescopes) and guidance will be provided. Should you have equipment already, and know what you are doing, awesome! Bring whatever you have along and join the group. SPOILERS: This event is at night, so you will most likely be inclined to bring a flashlight. If you do, make sure there is a red filter over it so our eyes and those belonging to animals nearby are kept safe. We have some red filtered flashlights here for you to borrow just in case. Finally, best of all, this program is FREE (aside from park admission)!!
Register by 4 pm on October 24th, though registration is NOT required. Meet in the Hunter Barn parking lot. Call 302-761-6963
We hope to see you there!
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
