The Delaware Choral Society will present A Poet’s Lyre featuring well-known poetic works set to music by great choral composers. Included in the concert will be selections from Frostiana, a collection of Robert Frost poems set to music by Randall Thompson. Also included will be poetry by James Agee, Robert Bridges, Jean Racine and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow with music by Morten Lauridsen, Gabriel Faure and others. The choir will have some fun with PDQ Bach’s rendering of works by Christopher Marlowe, Andrew Marvel and Robert Herrick and The Delaware Youth Chorale will round out the concert and will join the adult choir in some familiar carols. Tickets may be ordered from the Schwartz Center for the Arts website or from any DCS member.
