As a final celebration, we are bringing back our Autumn at Abbott’s Festival, which was previously held every fall for 24 years. Historically, this festival has featured a variety of artisans such as an antique wood lathe, wheat weaving, basket making, chair caning and rushing, Native American dancing and storytelling, and a marketplace with local vendors selling homemade crafts from kiln-fired pottery to jams and jellies. Other events included public tours of Abbott’s Mill, a raffle, a children’s activity corner, live amphibians and reptile shows, and guided canoe trips on Abbott’s Pond by Quest Fitness, from Lewes, Delaware. For the 35th, were raising the stakes by also featuring guided hikes with Abbott’s Teacher Naturalists, food truck fun, adult beverages from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, and live music.
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
