2016 Educators’ Forum: Integrating the Arts

Join fellow K-12 and university-level educators for an afternoon of professional development by teachers and for teachers. Come network and enjoy access to resources and lesson-planning ideas.

Carefully selected for an Arts Integration or STEAM focus, the day’s speakers and instructors provide strategies to help you make connections between hands-on learning and the core curriculum. Workshops include guided gallery experiences with an overview of Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) and fun interactive lessons that can be easily adapted for any classroom.

11:15 am: Welcome & Introduction
11:45 am: Speaker Ben Volta, Teaching Artist and 2015 PEW Fellowship in the Arts Recipient
1 pm: Make and Mingle Lunch Break
2 pm: Guided Tour of the Galleries
3 pm: Hands-on Workshop with Christopher Sweeney
5 pm: Conclusion and Certificates of Participation
