One of my family’s favorite things about the season is watching our favorite Christmas movies together, year after year. Find out which ones you can see on the big screen this year!
RiffTrax Holiday Special Double Feature
Thursday, December 1st at Cinemark Christiana and Regal Brandywine. TWO features for the price of one: Mike, Kevin and Bill take on Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, a classic from the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Then for the second act, they’re joined by Weird Al Yankovic for a Christmas Shorts-stravaganza.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
The holiday edition National Lampoon movie plays twice at Penn Cinema this year! Mark your calendar for Friday, December 2nd (beer tasting, ages 21+ only) or the all ages showing on Monday, December 12th at 7pm.
A Christmas Story
Everyone’s favorite quotable Christmas movie plays at Penn Cinema on the Riverfront Monday, December 5th at 7pm. Will Ralphie shoot his eye out this year?
Sadly not the Baryshnikov edition but magical all the same, this was performed and captured LIVE from the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow. Playing at Cinemark Christiana and Regal Brandywine on Sunday, December 18th.
If you’re willing to go on a road trip
Regal Cinemas is playing Christmas movies every Saturday until the big day. BUT: not at our Delaware locations! (Be sure to drop Regal a tweet or an email to express your displeasure.)
If you’re willing to go for a bit of a drive to be able to see It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve or watch Home Alone on the big screen with your kids, I fully understand and so I’ve listed the Regal schedule below. The price is right— just $5, plus Regal Crown Club members can get a medium popcorn/medium soft drink combo for $5 per transaction.
Also, if you purchase $50 in Regal gift cards at a participating Regal theater before 12/31/2016 you’ll receive a $10 concessions promo card redeemable between 1/1/2017 – 1/31/2017.
