LBI Chowderfest 2010

This is a day trip, but one totally worth taking.

What:

LBI Chowderfest- 22nd annual Chowder Cook-Off Classic

When:

Sunday October 3rd, 2010
11:00am- 4:00pm rain or shine

Where:

Beach Haven, Long Beach Island NJ
Taylor Ave Ball Field, Ninth Street & Taylor Ave (across from Bay Village)

What:

  • Um, CHOWDER. Country Kettle Chowder in a bread bowl. And more.
  • Unlimited chowder tasting- vote for your fave red & white
  • Live music
  • Children’s entertainment
  • Food court
  • Merchant Mart: hundreds of vendors offer the best deals of the season
  • Meet Russell Newberry from “The Deadliest Catch!”

General Admission $20, Kids 4-12 $10 (They are so going to lose money on my kids, they can put away some chowder!) Print your tickets out here or buy at the gate the day of.

This is my first year and I don’t know what parking is like, refer to website for shuttle info.

**Strollers need to be parked at the gate. Use a kid carrier if you have one.**
