National Pretzel Day

If you’re reading this, I assume you’re local and I also assume you love pretzels, it kind of goes with the territory. Am I wrong?

When we were in high school, Auntie Anne’s was a pretty new thing around here, and a couple of my friends worked at the store in the mall. They seemed to like their job, and I liked when they had leftover pretzels when their shift was over.

The quality of Auntie Anne’s remains unchanged many years later— no need to dwell on how many, exactly, let’s just say the chain is turning 30 this year— and they’ve added a TON of new items to their menu offerings. I’m still loyal to the sour cream and onion, though.

OK, there are two different promos happening here and they are both pretty cool, assuming you love pretzels, which I very much assume you do.

Please note this pretzel is a very flexible pug.

National Pretzel Day

For their National Pretzel Day celebration, Auntie Anne’s has a special offer for My Pretzel Perks members: buy any variety of pretzel, get a free handmade classic pretzel. The offer will be available for members in the rewards section of the app and is valid from April 26th through the April 29th.

“For the Love of Pretzels”

As part of its 30th birthday celebration, Auntie Anne’s partnered with six artists to create a “For the Love of Pretzels” Collection of clothing and accessories. All profits from the “For the Love of Pretzels” Collection will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). If you’re not familiar with ALSF, its mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. ALSF has been Auntie Anne’s national charitable partner since September 2011, and they’ve raised more than $3.7 million to fund childhood cancer research since then.

The “For the Love of Pretzels” Collection is hosted by Threadless and includes men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, shoes from Bucketfeet, and a variety of accessories including phone cases, water bottles, mugs, shower and bath gear, and more. Pricing starts at $13, commence shopping here.

Win a Fanny Pack

I am unsure what has happened in the world that a pink fanny pack is something that you can win in 2018, but here we are and I kind of want it. One lucky pretzel inspired fashionista will win one of illustrator Mike Perry’s limited-edition, specially designed pretzel “Auntie Packs” as an 80s inspired party favor from the 30th birthday clothing collaboration. To enter, fans will need to share a throwback birthday photograph using #HBDAuntieAnnes.

I am pretty sure I have a picture of me in a pink fanny pack that’s approximately 30 years old, but not at a birthday party, which is disappointing but probably improves your odds of winning.

For more info and locations, visit AuntieAnnes.com or follow on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

To receive the latest offers (including a free pretzel for your birthday) you’ll want to download the My Pretzel Perks app.
