Why:
Halloween costumes can be expensive, and not all parents have the time to DIY. Encourage your kids to help other children experience a great Halloween this year by donating gently used costumes.
- As an incentive, anyone donating costumes will receive a $2 discount on admission to the Please Touch Museum for every costume donated.
- Only complete costumes will be accepted.
- Costumes must be in infant through adult sizes, clean, gently used, individually bagged and labeled with gender and size.
The Halloween Helpers was created in 2008 by then 11-year-old Emma Rose Shapiro from Wynnewood, PA. While sorting through her old Halloween costumes, Emma realized there were many deserving children that don’t have the means to purchase a costume every single Halloween. Emma’s goal is to enlist children who outgrow or become disinterested in previous costumes and encourage them to share with kids who could not typically afford them.
