I currently belong to entirely too many deal sites, but one of my faves is Jasmere. Like most sites, Jasmere offers a daily (eco-friendly) item at a discounted price— but what makes it awesome is that the more people who sign on for that day’s deal, the more the price drops. So even if I buy in right away, at $10 off, if enough people join me I could pay $22 off when the deal closes.
AlphaBuyer works on the same principle, but even better, because you’re buying in to stuff you absolutely already need. No organic cotton sheets or massages here, we’re talking bills: electricity, heating oil, gasoline, internet, mobile, television, and more.
Here in PA, PECO has raised its rates (frankly I’m afraid to open this month’s bill) and it’s intimidating trying to decide on a new carrier. AlphaBuyer makes all that easier for you, finding the best deal overall. You don’t have to worry about comparing apples to oranges and figuring out all the different fees.
So this is how it works:
- AlphaBuyer negotiates special group deals with suppliers, getting them to waive their cancellation fees and whatnot.
- The more people who buy into a deal, the better the deal becomes. And, when you refer people to AlphaBuyer? You score a referral bonus.
- AlphaBuyer handles the paperwork. All you have to do is pay your new improved bill.
- This is free for you.
- When the agreed-upon time period for your deal is about to end, AlphaBuyer will let you know 60 days ahead and show you a new deal. This is not an “intro price then locked into standard price” bait and switch. AlphaBuyer always shops around for the best deal.
Cool, huh? Since I would really prefer to have all our electricity sourced from a green origin (wind or solar) this would be a great way to do that at a comparable price.
I sat in (via the wonder of the internets) on a session explaining the whole thing further. Check it out:
