There’s some very important work to be done here, folks. It’s cram time. Time to get those TV watching muscles limbered up before fall seasons begin. Here’s what’s coming to Netflix in September… and what you need to watch RIGHT NOW before it’s gone.
I don’t actually watch a ton of TV, but I take what I do watch very seriously.
I’m pleased to report there’s a lot of good stuff coming to Netflix in September. That’s nice, but not important. We’ll get to that in a second.
What’s important is: there’s good stuff leaving Netflix in September, which means we’ve all got some work to do in the days and weeks ahead.
I’ll list these first so you don’t get distracted.
Leaving Netflix in September 2016
September 1st. Binge away!

- Spanglish (2004)
- Traffic (2000)
- The Weather Man (2005)
- The Wood (1999)
- Zoolander (2001)
If you haven’t seen them, you need to prioritize in this order: Zoolander, The Color Purple, Crocodile Dundee so you’re culturally up to date. From there, Roman Holiday, Days of Thunder and 2 Fast 2 Furious are recommended but not mandatory. I’ve not seen Roboshark, but it sounds important. Spanglish is a not terrible movie even though it stars Adam Sandler and Téa Leoni, which is such a remarkable feat I think everyone should experience it at least once.

What’s nice is that there isn’t a whole lot on that list I’ve already seen. I look forward to catching up on Gotham and Supergirl, and maybe rewatching my TV boyfriend Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game. I’ve been meaning to watch Man on Wire and I’ll definitely marathon the Jaws movies.
But mostly I’m excited about this:
LUKE CAGE OMG
What’s on this list that you’ve seen and think I should too?
