Enjoy a day (and night) of free, safe family fun!
Bring your tent and your gear and make yourself at home in our family campground. Families are welcome to come just for the day if you don’t want to camp out.
Event schedule to come, but here’s a sampling of some of the fun we’re planning…DJ, photo booth, outdoor games, moon bounce, obstacle course, boo barn tour, hayrides, games & crafts, mobile video truck, food & ice cream vendors, NCCPD K9 demonstration, NCCPD Mounted Patrol Unit demonstration, kids halloween costume dance party, costume contest, bonfires, dance contest, tent-to-tent trick-or-treating, movie under the stars, & “best decked tent” contest.

Rules
Our goal is to make Sleep Under the Stars a safe and fun event for everyone. To make this possible we ask that you follow these simple rules.
No personal campfires, or charcoal grills.
We will tend the campfires and keep them going. you are welcome to bring a small gas grill, your cooler, and you may roast marshmallows and hot dogs at the campfire.
No pets
We know you love your pets and that they are part of the family, but this is just not the appropriate event for them. To keep them safe, and for the safety of your fellow campers, please leave them at home.
No alcohol or drugs
This is a family event, and the use of alcohol and drugs is prohibited in all New Castle County parks. Persons violating this rule will be handled by our Department of Public Safety.
No Weapons
The possession of weapons and firearms are prohibited in New Castle County parks.
Be Kind
The Golden Rule. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.
Special Event Pet Policy
We kindly ask you to please keep your pets at home when coming to one of our special events unless the event is specifically designated as “pet friendly”. This policy is for the safety of your pets and for the safety of event patrons. People who bring pets to events not specifically designates as a “pet friendly” will be asked to remove their pet from the event grounds. Service animals are exempt from this policy. In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
