Dennys free pancakes for kids

Now, I’m of the opinion that there’s no such thing as a bad pancake, and I’ve eaten way more than my fair share. Denny’s new stacks are made with fresh buttermilk, real eggs and a hint of vanilla, and come with 50 percent more fluffy goodness. I’m not absolutely certain how this sorcery is achieved, only that they’re being offered for the first time in kid-sized signature dishes (including Jr. Cinnamon Pancakes, Jr. Strawberries & Cream Pancakes and Chocolate Chip Pancakes) and that lucky duck kids are being invited to try those pancakes for free.

Every day in September from 4 to 10pm, kids ages 10 and under can chow down on Denny’s pancakes in any of these dishes for free with the purchase of one adult entrée at participating locations.

Denny’s is also partnering with No Kid Hungry in September to raise money to help end childhood hunger: they’ve donated more than $3.3 million to the charity to date.

16 million kids are considered food insecure in this country, taking a toll on their health, development, morale and ability to perform in schools. To put that number in perspective, we’re talking about one in five children.

Just $1 can provide 10 healthy meals to a child through No Kid Hungry. And every time the hashtag #ShareMySlam is shared on Twitter and Instagram in September, Denny’s will donate $1 to help feed our nation’s kids.

In addition, when visitors donate to No Kid Hungry while at the restaurant, they’ll receive a discount coupon to use at their next visit at participating Denny’s locations. Or, you can contribute to the campaign at dennysnokidhungry.com.
