When was the last time you had a physical? For many, the answer is probably “too long.” Sam’s Club is offering free health screenings to help with that.
We’re all pretty busy, and often times we let “unnecessary” doctor’s visits go to save time and money. Even parents, who wouldn’t dream of letting their kids go years between checkups, will neglect getting their own health checked. Fun fact: 82% of women say they would rather do all of their family’s grocery shopping than go to the doctor.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as they say: it’s best to nip problems in the bud before they become life changing ailments. And it’s vital to establish baselines so that you and your doctor can detect when problems begin to develop.
For instance: do you know your glucose level? 83% of Americans don’t, even though glucose testing can help identify people who are at risk for diabetes.*
To help change these statistics and empower you to take charge of your health, Sam’s Club is offering glucose tests as part of its free health screenings at all 617 of their locations with a pharmacy this Saturday. No excuses, moms! The kids are in school!
Stop in and get yourself checked. And share with your friends and family across the country, because you care about their health, too.
The screenings will be available from 11am to 4pm October 8th, while supplies last. You do NOT have to be a Sam’s Club member.
The tests are valued at up to $150, including the following:**
- Glucose: measures the current amount of sugar in your blood. No fasting required.
- Total cholesterol
- HDL (good cholesterol)
- Blood pressure
- Body fat percentage
- Vision (not available at all locations)
- Hearing (not available at all locations)
