Saturday February 20th, from 11am to 3pm, the Delaware Art Museum will host its annual Chinese New Year Celebration, in conjunction with Hanlin Chinese Culture Association. Admission is free and all the galleries will be open from 10am to 4pm.
Here’s the schedule:
- 11am-3pm: Chinese New Year-inspired art activities
- 11:30-noon: Lion Dance and Folk Dance by the Chinese American Community Center Lion and Folk Dance Troupe
- 12 – 2pm: Chinese Dough Figuring and Art Activity with Wilmington Friends School Students
- 12:30-1pm: Chinese Yo-Yo Performance by the Chinese American Community Center Chinese Yo-Yo Club (!)
- 12-3pm: Chinese Calligraphy
- 1:30- 2pm: Philadelphia Chinese Opera Society — Jade Bracelet, The Monkey King, and Ribbon Dance
