Start Take Your Child to Work Day off right with a free bagel and shmear at Einstein Bros.® Bagels with a donation to No Kid Hungry.
April 26th is Take Your Child to Work Day! Whether you work from home or start your work day off with a commute, your kids will love stopping in at Einstein Bros. for a quick and delicious breakfast treat with you.
As you’ve heard a million times, breakfast is brain food— but with one in six children in America struggling with hunger, many don’t get to take advantage of the most important meal of the day. We’re talking about the next generation of leaders, innovators and problem-solvers having difficulty concentrating and learning due to an empty stomach.
No Kid Hungry is working to ensure that every child in the United States has access to healthy food and that families learn to shop and cook on limited budgets. Just a $2 donation can provide 20 meals to children in need.
On April 26th, Take Your Child to Work Day, anyone who visits participating Einstein Bros. Bagels or Coffee & Bagel locations can treat their child aged 12 and under to a free bagel and shmear with a $2 donation to No Kid Hungry.
You’ll also receive three unique offers to redeem on a future visit: a free bagel and shmear with purchase, a buy-one-get-one egg sandwich deal and $3 off a Baker’s Dozen Box with your donation. (That’s a total savings worth over $11 if you’re keeping track.)
Einstein Bros. began their partnership with No Kid Hungry in 2016 and they donated enough to cover over two million meals for children in need last year. Most recently, 100% of the proceeds from their “Cheesy Shampoo and Wakin’ Bacon Conditioner” launch (what? Apparently I need to go there more often and see these things) was donated to No Kid Hungry. Their current goal is to provide 2.5 million nutritious meals to children in need by May 1st of this year— so basically, by next week.

Side note:
No Kid Hungry is a campaign run by Share Our Strength, one of my family’s favorite nonprofits, and I’d love to encourage you (in addition to claiming your kid’s power meal before their big day at work) to hold a family bake sale to raise money to help feed our nation’s children. This is something my kids did years ago and it really connects what they’re doing to how they’re helping, and helps to get the word out to everyone nice enough to stop and inquire about your fundraiser. (Wow, I just read my recap of that day and it was a decade ago. Maybe it’s time for an anniversary bake sale!)
It’s simple, it’s fun and it’s effective: remember, just $2 provides 20 meals. Every bit helps.
