We are looking forward to the Family Zombie Crawl on Friday the 13th next month (see tinyurl.com/KCPLevents ).
We’re also starting something new this year: Trunk or Treat.
Wait–Trunk or Treat? You heard right: Trunk or Treat is a great way to gather lots of seasonal fun into a small, easily walkable area. We’ll reserve our parking lot for the festivities, and community members stocked up with treats will deck out their cars with spooky adornments. Kids can go from car to car to collect their goodies, and then they can take part in the Family Zombie Crawl afterwards.
It’s great for families with young children, households that live too far out to be part of the town’s trick-or-treating fun, or even non-profit organizations that want to scare up more visibility for their cause.
We’ll be holding our first Trunk or Treat from 5-5:45 pm (or until the goodies run out) on October 13th. If you or your organization are interested in hosting a vehicle at Trunk or Treat, please visit or email the library to let us know by October 1st.
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
