Scary Sundays, a seasonal series of horror movie masterpieces, proudly presents:
THE SHINING
(1980, dir. Stanley Kubrick)
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future. Though it deviates from Stephen King’s novel, Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” is a chilling, often baroque journey into madness – exemplified by an unforgettable turn from lead actor Jack Nicholson. An indisputable masterpiece of modern horror.
Rated R. 146 minutes. Audience members must be at least 17 years of age or accompanied by an adult.
