Powwows are a time to preserve traditions, to sing to the Creator, and to dance to the heartbeat of the drum.
Each powwow begins with a Grand Entry or procession of dancers serving as the “bringing together of tribes.”
Native American artisans from across the country will be selling native arts and crafts including jewelry, pottery, moccasins, ribbon shirts, shawls, dream catchers, and paintings.
Come join the Nanticoke Indian Tribe as we celebrate our 39th annual powwow. There will be musuem tours, authentic Native American singing, dancing and drumming as well as arts and crafts. Grounds open on Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 930 am to 5pm. $5 entrance fee for each person over the age of 12. Camping sites available upon request. In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
