Sunday, December 4, 1-4 p.m.

Bring your family out for the 16th annual Holiday Open House with entertainment, children’s activities, costumed characters, refreshments and FREE photos with Santa!

The event also includes our Youth Entrepreneur’s Secret Santa Shoppe, selling gifts for the whole family, tours of the holiday display in the museum and a festive light display in the gardens surrounding the Mansion and Carriage House.

This year’s performers include Delaware Arts Conservatory performing excerpts from their production of “The Snow Queen,” Wilmington Children’s Theater performing a preview of their production of “Willy Wonka” and Imagination Players. Other performers include Kathryn Ciminello Dance Troupe,Cab Calloway Middle School choirs, UD Children’s Choir and more.

This is a FREE EVENT, however, to help those less fortunate, please bring a nonperishable food item or new mittens, hats, or scarves for the Giving Tree.

Special Event Pet Policy

We kindly ask you to please keep your pets at home when coming to one of our special events unless the event is specifically designated as “pet friendly”. This policy is for the safety of your pets and for the safety of event patrons. People who bring pets to events not specifically designates as a “pet friendly” will be asked to remove their pet from the event grounds. Service animals are exempt from this policy. In the event of high severity weather conditions, event attendees and participants will be advised by announcement from the event organizers to “shut down”. If there is not time for an orderly evacuation, event attendees will be advised to shelter in place in automobiles or park pavilions as may be appropriate for the expected conditions.
