Not sure what to do with your family for New Year’s Eve? The B+ Junior Board, a group of kids dedicated to helping The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation fight childhood cancer, was thinking the same thing. So they decided to throw a party!

On December 31st, 2016, the B+ Junior Board will host its Inaugural Kids Helping Kids New Year’s Eve Gala benefitting The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. The event is being developed, promoted, and run by kids. By Kids, For Kids!

The B+ Junior Board’s goal is to host more than 200 guests for a fun night at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts to increase awareness, raise money for the fight against childhood cancer, and have the event become a blueprint to inspire kids across the country to host B+ events in their communities.
The B+ Junior Board consists of kids who made an important observation — why are adults always the ones helping others? In the spring of 2012, the B+ Junior Board decided to change that. They set up a stand on the corner of 19th and Brinckle Avenue to sell baked goods on the weekend of the Flower Market in Wilmington, DE. These kids decided that all proceeds would go to The B+ Foundation, a national organization that helps provide financial and emotional assistance to kids and families fighting childhood cancer. After getting to know the McDonoughs and learning about Andrew and his fight against childhood cancer, the B+ Junior Board fell in love with the foundation and the idea of making life a bit easier for kids and families in treatment. The B+ Junior Board says, “Four years later, we are still just kids who support The B+ Foundation every spring, but we’ve now committed to do more.”
