Family Fish-n-Fun Days

Saturday July 23rd and Saturday August 6th, 10am to 2pm.
All ages outdoor program meeting at the Slaughter Beach Pavilion behind the Slaughter Beach fire hall. A Delaware recreational fishing license is required for those between the ages of 16 and 65.
Learn about the saltwater ecosystem, how to identify fish, fish anatomy, ethical fishing skills, knot-tying, casting, baiting hooks and surf fishing through hands-on activities with nature center staff and volunteers. Fishing gear and other materials will be provided; wear outdoor clothing, including beach-appropriate shoes and a hat.
Be sure to pack a lunch, snacks and beverages (no glass containers)! Don’t forget the sunscreen and insect repellent.
