The Delaware Children Museum’s Dog Days of Summer event is designed to teach children and their families about the importance of animals. The DCM is just $5 for non-members after 5pm on Fridays.

  • Explore the amazing things that dogs can do with the Wilmington Police Department’s very own K9 unit and two Seeing Eye dog organizations, or learn some cool cat facts with the Faithful Friends Animal Rescue.
  • Interested in insects? Stop by to see the University Of Delaware Department Of Etymology’s Insect Zoo or check out the biofacts that the Brandywine Zoo will be bringing!
  • We’ll also be welcoming the Tristate Bird Rescue, La Mancha animal rescue, the Humane Society, the DuPont Environmental Education Center, a marine biologist to give some facts about the DCM touch tank!
  • We’ll be ending the night with a Jungle John show that includes an American alligator and a boa constrictor!

Please check on your event before you go! We do our best to confirm details and updates, but there's always the possibility that events will be postponed, changed, or canceled entirely without our knowledge.

In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
