CARTOON CHRISTMAS TRIO
The Cartoon Christmas Trio celebrates 21 years as the original interpreter of classic holiday cartoon jazz! The trio was started in 1995 by bassist Rob Swanson for the sole purpose of playing music from classic Christmas cartoons, especially the music of Vince Guaraldi, the composer of the “Peanuts” soundtracks. Since its inception, the trio has played hundreds of shows including live appearances on NBC, ABC, and NPR. The trio was also honored to perform in Philadelphia’s premiere music venue, The Kimmel Center. In addition, the trio is actively involved in musical outreach and education through an in-school assembly program. Again this year the trio will be joined by The Wilmington Children’s Chorus and Baritone Grant Youngblood!
THE WILMINGTON CHILDREN’S CHORUS
A multicultural children’s choir sponsored by the City of Wilmington as a project of Cityfest, Inc., the Wilmington Children’s Chorus gives youth the opportunity and tools to excel while enriching our community with the unique sound and spirit of children’s voices. WCC involves over 150 singers, ages 8 through 18, in 5 tuition-free ensembles. The Youth Choir performs in the annual holiday and spring concerts, has sung with Christmas with the Celts, for the Delaware Chinese American Association New Year Celebration, and for Vice President Biden at the re-dedication of the train station.
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
