Chapel Street Players’ Director Jeff Robleto is looking for five men and five women of various ages for the production. The break down is as follows:
Anne Frank – a lively, curious girl who remains optimistic while in hiding and tries to make the best of the situation; she is introspective and creative with a vivid imagination but sometimes a short temper
Mr. Frank – her polite and practical father whose calmness and patience are an asset in the cramped attic and a comfort to Anne
Mrs. Frank – her reserved and nervous mother who wishes Anne were more proper and polite like her sister
Margot – her older sister who is much more quiet, modest and reserved
Mr. Van Daan – Mr. Frank’s former business partner whose family is also staying in the attic; irritable and openly critical of others
Mrs. Van Daan – his vain and finicky wife who prizes material things; often at odds with Anne
Peter – their shy, quiet son who becomes a confidant and later a romantic interest for Anne
Mr. Dusell – an acquaintance that joins them in hiding and shares a room with Anne, occasionally irritating her with either his controlling tone or his unusual habits
Mr. Kraler – a businessman in the office below that helps prepare the attic hiding place, secure rations and generally keep the families safe
Miep – a secretary in the office below that supplies those in hiding with food, news, happiness and hope
In addition, many venues do not project an end time for their events. In those cases, we selected our best guess, but the duration of your event may vary.
